It has been a big year for Glasgow's own Numbers. With label bosses like Jackmaster and Spencer (to name just two) it's no surprise that they are at the forefront of the Bass scene. With excellent releases this year from artists like Mosca, Jamie XX, Deadboy, Pierre's Pfantasy Club and Goldffinch accompanying their club nights and RinseFM show things can only really continue to go up.

Futureboogie need little introduction. Of late, the Bristol label's unique sound has not so much been knocking on the overcrowded house scene's door as actually smashing it down. They are increasingly venturing out from the comfort of their home town to conquer London and the North, ably assisted by flag bearers that include Bonobo, Bashmore, Crazy P and recent HH mix-men Behling &amp; Simpson.

Dave Huismans has put out quite a lot of music since 2007 under many aliases and on a lot of great labels including Tectonic and 3024. His last couple of releases, however, were on his own new label When In Doubt as 2562 but he is back again as A Made Up Sound to deliver his last release of the year, Take The Plunge.

Another City Now is the debut EP from Ango aka Andrew Gordon Macpherson, the next big thing to step out of Monteal, Canada. Arkist is yet another great producer to emerge from Bristol in the last couple of years. We featured him earlier this year and since then he has had huge releases on Apple Pips and with Kidkut on Hotflush Recordings. To follow those he has surprisingly released the Double Zero EP this week as a free download to the public.

Rustie has been producing quality beats since 2007 and it is hard to believe that the London based producer is only just releasing his first LP. The album is being released by the prestigious Warp Records who have already released his single 'Ulta Thizz' earlier in September.
